Sea Turtle Conservancy (STC) monitors multiple beaches in the Bocas del Toro, Panama region that provide incredible nesting habitat for endangered leatherback and hawksbill sea turtles. These beaches represent some of the most important nesting beaches in the Caribbean and wider Atlantic. STC has been satellite tracking sea turtles from this region since 2003 to find out where sea turtles go after they leave this area. This research has especially highlighted the importance of the Gulf of Mexico
