An endangered North Atlantic right Whale was spotted near Cumberland Island, Georgia, on December 2. It has been months since the whale was seen entangled in fishing rope on March 10 near Cape Cod Bay. The whale, nicknamed Snow Cone, was accompanied by a new calf.
