On top of this, the White House also spoke out in defense of the ad, and amid renewed interest in Sydney’s personal political leanings, it was subsequently confirmed by BuzzFeed on Aug. 2 that she is, in fact, a registered Republican. Donald Trump then got involved and expressed his support for Sydney, and yeah, the whole thing is pretty wild.
