Mandy Bartholomew, public information officer for the Suffolk Police Department, confirmed to The Pilot that the sled was being pulled by a UTV when the crash happened. Four adults and two kids were taken to local hospitals with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. A woman died from her injuries at the hospital, police said.

A sledding accident on Longstreet Lane in Suffolk left one dead and five injured on Thursday, according to Suffolk police.

A woman died and five people, including two children, were injured in a sledding accident off of Longstreet Lane Thursday afternoon, Suffolk Police said.
