As New York Yankees veteran pitcher Marcus Stroman nears a return to the majors, he might also be nearing the end of his Bronx tenure.That's nothing personal against Stroman, a two-time All-Star who has missed nearly two months with a right knee injury.

With Stroman out of the picture, the Yankees’ starting staff has been one of the best in baseball. Since April 14, two days after Stroman was moved to the 15-day IL, the Yankees have posted a 2.87 starter ERA. That’s a 46-game span where Yankees starting pitchers have allowed three earned runs or fewer 39 times.

The New York Yankees' starting rotation has been without Gerrit Cole, Luis Gil and Marcus Stroman. However, Stroman is on the way back, and his role on the team is up for debate.
