The suspected cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) in Maharashtra have risen to 130 in Pune and a few other districts of the state; death toll stands at two.

The woman, who was also battling oral cancer, died at Sassoon General Hospital on January 28 after suffering respiratory failure with sepsis.

A 40-year-old man in Maharashtra's Solapur died due to the Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS), state health minister Prakash Abitkar told ANI on Monday. It is the first death in the state due to the immunological nerve disorder.
