The Diamondbacks downed the Athletics, 6-4, on Sunday afternoon, August 3, to end what had been a miserable road trip on a positive note.

Lourdes Gurriel Jr. hit a go-ahead two-run single in the fifth inning, Ketel Marte, Alek Thomas and Corbin Carroll hit home runs, and the Arizona Diamondbacks beat the Athletics 7-2 to end a six-game losing streak.

The Athletics lost their series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, falling 6-4 Sunday at Sutter Health Park in West Sacramento. The teams split the first two games of the series, with the A's winning 5-1 on Friday and Arizona coming out on top 7-2 on Saturday.
