An Australian state lawmaker has changed his name to "Aussie Trump", in what he said was a protest against the country's ruling centre-left Labor Party.

Schmidt, who has previously coached, Claremont, the Blues and Ireland, had signed a deal to oversee proceedings at the national side until the end of the 2025 Lions Tour.
