Horford's addition would give the Warriors a significant boost on the defensive side of the floor. The veteran big man still ranks highly among centers for multiple defensive metrics. Furthermore, he will provide ample floor spacing for Curry and Co. This past season, Horford shot the rock at a 36.3% clip from deep on 5.2 attempts per game.

Horford, a five-time All-Star, is an excellent defender and shot over 39% from 3 since he returned to the Celtics in 2022. He'd be a good fit with Curry and the Warriors, who saw big man Kevon Looney leave for the New Orleans Pelicans after 10 seasons with Golden State.

The NBA world is still waiting on Al Horford to make a decision in free agency, and there is still an expectation he will end up with the Golden State Warriors.
