Multiple people are dead and several others are hurt after a mass shooting Saturday at Brown University in Rhode Island.

Police and local media reports said the shooting began while some people were attending a Hanukkah party on the beach. At least 40 people were hospitalized.

One of the victims killed in Saturday’s shooting at Brown University has been identified as Ella Cook, a Brown University student and a parishioner at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in Birmingham, Alabama.
