Newegg is blaming President Trump's tariffs on Chinese imports for price hikes on Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 graphics cards. On Wednesday, customers noticed sudden price increases on the coveted GPUs across Newegg’s site.

MSI and Asus have raised the prices of Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 gaming GPUs by hundreds of dollars, just a week after the launch.

It looks like the upcoming Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards could prove to be even better value for money than initially thought, as a new rumor suggests that the mid-range graphics cards won’t require Nvidia’s 12VHPWR connector (which the powerful RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 use).

MSI and Asus official stores show that RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 GPUs are seeing a price hike, with graphics cards now selling for upwards of $3,400.

MSI and ASUS have now jacked up prices of the GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs in their US stores. Scalpers may be the scum of the earth due to their intentional price gouging habits, but companies like MSI and ASUS aren’t doing anything to help the situation with regard to the already impossible-to-obtain graphics card.
