One of the fires burning now more than 100,000 acres in Rio Blanco County in northwest Colorado continues to grow during ongoing "near-critical fire weather" conditions.

Large wildfires are also burning in California and Arizona, with the Gifford fire having burned over 114,600 acres and the Dragon Bravo fire in the Grand Canyon scorching around 143,500 acres.

New mandatory evacuations were ordered in the Lee fire late Friday night and early Saturday morning as the blaze grew nearly 30,000 acres on Colorado’s Western Slope near Meeker.
