The Cleveland Browns will be without quarterback Deshaun Watson for the foreseeable future, including significant time in the 2025 season. The controversial Watson suffered a second rupture of his right Achilles tendon and had surgery to fix the issue.

Watson has two seasons remaining on the deal that he signed with the Browns before the 2022 season, which was for five years and fully guaranteed him $230 million. The team will owe him $46 million each of the next two seasons, only adding salt to the wound of just how poorly this experiment has gone.
