In a sign that Canada-India relations are defrosting, the two countries have agreed to reinstate their high commissioners and are eyeing renewed visa services to citizens and businesses in both countries.

PM Modi received a formal welcome from his Canadian counterpart Mark Carney upon arriving for the Outreach Session of the summit.

PM Modi is in Canada to attend the annual G7 Summit. He said he would be discussing important global issues and highlight the issues of the Global South at the international forum.
