It's a First Alert Weather Day as moderate to heavy snow pours over the Front Range. Hardest hit will be the foothills west of Denver with over a foot of snow expected.

Snow is expected to stop by 8 a.m. and temps will climb to 39 before falling to 19 overnight, according to the National Weather Service. A high of 52 and sunny skies are forecast Saturday, followed by temps near 60 on Sunday.

Commuters should expect a challenging drive across the Denver metro area as heavy snow has blanketed the Front Range where a winter weather advisory remains in effect until 8 a.m. Here’s a look at the conditions.
