An Air India Boeing 787, the same kind of plane that crashed 4 days earlier, was forced to turn around after a midair "technical issue," the airline says.

HONG KONG (AP) — An Air India flight returned to Hong Kong on Monday shortly after takeoff due to a midair technical issue, days after another of the airline’s flights crashed and killed at least 270 people.

The flight, AI 315, landed safely in Hong Kong and all passengers have disembarked from the plane, the airline said in a statement, adding that the aircraft is undergoing inspection.
