“It was a busy weekend for me,” Reid said. “I got to have my baby girl, which is probably the highlight. Even better than the divisional win. But when I got to go over to the birth center and saw her born, I didn’t feel anything except love and then just so much happiness holding her.”

Reid is known for many things — his deep passing attack, his penchant for trick plays, his affection for cheeseburgers and Tommy Bahama Hawaiian shirts. In 26 years as a head coach, Reid has become most known around the NFL as the screen master, his schematic innovations of the play being one of his core contributions to the sport.

C.J. Stroud, who dealt with a knee injury throughout the game after taking a hit in the first quarter, went 14-of-22 with 245 yards. He was sacked eight times, though, as Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo called several blitzes in the second half. He still had some nice scrambles, getting 42 yards on six carries.
