Boston College head coach Bill O'Brien is using his professional connections to help him out in his still relatively new role as the skipper at BC, and the latest addition to the coaching room does just that.

Now, with O’Brien revitalizing BC and Vrabel looking to do the same with the Patriots, the area’s most prominent football teams are led by men who bonded in Foxborough.

Drake Maye will have a new position coach in 2025. The Patriots are hiring Ashton Grant as their new quarterbacks coach, a source confirmed to MassLive. Grant comes to New England after five seasons with the Cleveland Browns where he coached quarterbacks.

Per Pete Thamel of ESPN, Browns assistant defensive line coach Jordan Thomas is departing the organization to become Boston College’s new defensive line coach. Thomas had been with Cleveland since 2022 in the same role.

A coaching journey he needed to take, and the former star linebacker uniquely suited to put a faltering franchise back on track.

He got second interview opportunities with Houston and Arizona in that coaching cycle.
