The shutdown of the Amazon Appstore on wider Android devices follows the company's step away from supporting its Windows app too.

On Wednesday, Aug. 20, users will no longer be able to access the Amazon Appstore for Android or Amazon Coins in all marketplaces.

Amazon is discontinuing its Appstore for Android devices in August 2025. Fire TV and Fire Tablet users remain unaffected, though.
