Americans planned demonstrations against President Donald Trump across the U.S. on Saturday as a counterpoint to the 200,000 people expected to attend the military parade in Washington.

WNYT reports Catherine Benincasa, 32, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was arrested Saturday after an argument escalated during an anti-Trump rally in Warrensburg, N.Y. She’s been charged with second-degree menacing, third-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

Over 1,000 Queens residents marched through Forest Hills rejecting the idea of executive overreach and declaring that Trump “is no king.”

The demonstrations follow more than a week of large-scale protests in Los Angeles against Mr. Trump’s immigration crackdown and his decision to deploy the military there. Protesters gathered in Liberty Plaza outside of the Georgia State Capitol in Downtown Atlanta.

That’s part of why George Atkinson, a former high school government teacher, felt compelled to join a protest in downtown Houston on Saturday. The 89-year-old affixed a sign to his walker that read, “The clothes have no emperor! He’s all hat and no cattle!”

The No Kings Day of Defiance protests will happen during the military parade in Washington on Saturday for the Army’s 250th anniversary — which coincides with Trump’s birthday.

Even the weather was riled up during Saturday’s “No Kings” march in Manhattan. Yet the steady drizzle couldn’t stop tens of thousands of New Yorkers from processing 15 blocks—from Bryant Park down to Madison Square Park—to protest the Trump administration’s immigration policies.
