With thousands of Americans showing up in 1,500 cities for “No Kings” protests, I wanted to know what motivated people.

People gathered to demonstrate against the military parade President Donald Trump will hold in Washington, D.C., on Saturday night.

From Southern California to Washington, D.C., and all points between, large crowds began to gather for the planned "No Kings" rally against the Trump administration's ongoing immigration enforcement efforts on Saturday,

Protesters are set to hit the streets across the country today.

There are at least 24 protests planned across the state of Tennessee, including several in Middle Tennessee from Clarksville to Pulaski to Murfreesboro and more. Organizers say they expect the largest rally to happen in Nashville.

From the parkway to Center City and the Pennsylvania suburbs, protesters stood in solidarity, joining voices across the nation and region to protest what they call a growing threat of authoritarianism in American politics.

Events held in big cities, small towns and everything in between served as counterpoint to military parade in Washington coinciding with President Donald Trump’s 79th birthday.
