At that point, Jones refused to deal with his agent, saying a deal was already in place. No progress, or even communication, appears to have happened since. Jones did acknowledge Parsons at the beginning of training camp, taking a shot at him for missing time due to an injury last year.

The Dallas Cowboys star linebacker Micah Parsons requested a trade from the Dallas Cowboys this afternoon. The all-pro linebacker said he ‘no longer’ wants to be part of the team after the recent contract negotiations.

“I think Micah is doing great,” Cowboys co-owner Stephen Jones said. “It means a lot to him to be here with his teammates, hats off to him for that. We want him practicing soon. We rather have him out here practicing doing what he does best which is wreck a practice but hats off to him.” Parsons said contract talks are up to Jerry Jones.
