Lows fall into the upper teens and 20s, and gusts reach 25 to 35 mph, highest across the higher elevations. Arctic high pressure builds in quickly on Monday, which should keep a coastal system and any meaningful precipitation to our south. Only far southern Delaware or the lower Eastern Shore might see a brief, very light snow shower.
Weather forecasts have taken a turn for the worse. Snow is expected late Saturday into Sunday morning, with total accumulation of about 2–4 inches possible. The National Weather Service calls for snow showers before noon and winds out of the northwest at 15–25 mph, gusting to 30–40 mph.
The National Weather Service on Friday said Philadelphia was all but certain to get at least an inch of snow during the weekend, with a general 2 to 4 inches expected, said Joe DeSilva, a meteorologist in the Mount Holly office. The weather service issued a winter-weather advisory for the entire region from 7 p.m. Saturday through 1 p.m. Sunday.
That's because snow is in the forecast beginning late at night on Dec. 13 and lasting into the morning of the game. It won't be nearly as much as the 8 inches that fell in the famous "Snow Bowl," when the Eagles beat the Detroit Lions 34-20.
