Authorities in Montgomery County, Texas, arrested a man Saturday in connection with a shooting at a Mardi Gras concert in Mamou. The shooting, which killed two and injured 12, occurred at an outdoor Zydeco concert on the north side of Mamou on Tuesday.

The suspect in the mass shooting that occurred on Mardi Gras in Mamou was found hiding in Montgomery County, Texas.

Carnival Season typically starts after Epiphany on Jan. 6 and culminates on Ash Wednesday, which falls on March 5 this year.

CONROE, Texas (KPLC) - The suspect wanted for the deadly shooting in Mamou on Mardi Gras day is behind bars in Montgomery County Texas. Trea’land Ty’rell Castille, 19, was arrested Saturday and is multiple charges including two counts of first-degree murder, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
