Python creator Guido van Rossum reveals the strengths and weaknesses of one of the world's most popular programming languages.

Only twice in TIOBE Programming Index history has a language commanded such a high percentage of developers’ interest.

Marking a first, Python has displaced Java to take the number two ranking in the November 2020 edition of the Tiobe Index of programming language popularity. C held on to the top spot.

Python 3.11 will bear the fruits of CPython's multi-year effort to make Python a faster programming language.

“Python has become the most popular language of choice for learning programming in school and university,” said Ben Finkel, who is a CBT Nuggets Trainer.
