The Winnipeg Jets secured their NHL-leading 45th victory with a 2-1 win over the visiting New York Rangers on Tuesday night.

WINNIPEG -- Gabriel Vilardi and Vladislav Namestnikov scored for the Winnipeg Jets, who hung on for a 2-1 win against the New York Rangers at Canada Life Centre on Tuesday.

Seventeen games remain in the regular season for the Rangers, and they remain outside of a playoff spot after their 2-1 loss Tuesday night to the NHL’s top team, the Winnipeg Jets, in the opener of their three-game road trip.
