The Princess of Wales, who serves as Colonel of the Irish Guards, will visit the regiment at the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in London's Wellington Barracks on March 17. The princess was forced to skip last year's parade due to her cancer diagnosis, which she publicly announced on March 22, 2024.

The Princess of Wales is to attend the Irish Guards’ St Patrick’s Day parade in a solo engagement next week. Kate, who is colonel of the regiment, missed the Guards’ celebrations last year after being diagnosed with cancer.

The Prince and Princess of Wales last attended the Wales vs. England Six Nations rugby match in February 2023, where Team England clinched the win with a 20-10 final score. Princess Kate's team was also victorious in 2022 when they went to watch, bringing along their eldest son Prince George, now 11.

During a visit to Northern Ireland in 2019, Princess Kate spoke with a 9-year-old girl named Hannah Ritchie who was working on a biography of the royal for a school project. Valentine Low of the Times shared a video of the sweet interaction, which has been revisited by royal Instagram account Kate For Kiddies.

Prince William will be heading to Estonia next week for his first foreign trip of the year. The Prince of Wales will be in the country from Thursday, March 20 to Friday, March 21, and is visiting in his role as Colonel-in-Chief of the Mercian Regiment.
