"The Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon spent much of his Tuesday monologue discussing the late July summer heat and joking that it may be the cause of President Donald Trump's latest, bewildering comments about Jeffrey Epstein.

Trump, who was reportedly told by Attorney General Pam Bondi that he is mentioned in the files (though the context is not known), recently urged GOP leaders to change the subject by making unfounded accusations about President Barack Obama and the 2016 election. The story of his friendship with Epstein has also taken a few turns.

President Trump has taken aim at late-night hosts Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon in the days since Stephen Colbert's top-rated CBS show was canceled, predicting that both of the Jimmys will soon be out of a job and taking credit in advance.
