Hundreds of civilians, mostly in Iran, have been killed by dueling airstrikes despite international pleas for de-escalation.

Israel carried out an airstrike on Iran’s Mashhad Airport, targeting a refueling aircraft. Another drone attack hit a gas facility at South Pars. Iran condemned the moves, calling them dangerous. Officials warned the incidents could involve wider regional conflict.

There was an attack on a studio in Iran that was caught on camera. According to NDTV the studio was bombed during broadcast. The TV started the broadcast after the attack and the anchors dared Israel to attack again.

Israel targeted a major airport in the capital used for both military and civilian purposes, while Iran attacked Israel with waves of ballistic missiles.

Airlines steered clear of much of the Middle East on Friday after Israeli attacks on Iranian sites forced carriers to cancel or divert thousands of flights in the latest upheaval to travel in the region.

Israeli strikes have damaged buildings at two missile sites as well as an airport runway, satellite images have revealed.
