Israel’s military has targeted and killed an Al Jazeera correspondent and others with an airstrike as they sheltered outside a Gaza City hospital

Condemnations poured in from the United Nations and media rights groups on Monday after an Israeli strike killed an Al Jazeera news team in Gaza, as Palestinians mourned the journalists and Israel accused one of them of being a Hamas militant.

The Al Jazeera media company said in a Sunday statement that five of its journalists -- including correspondent Anas Al Sharif -- were killed in an Israeli airstrike.
