Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, logs out of X (formerly Twitter) after a weekend of more antisemitic posts. He left with a parting message: 'I appreciate Elon for allowing me to vent.'

Kanye West deactivated his Twitter account after days of posting antisemitic, misogynist and racist content which even forced so-called free speech advocate Elon Musk to take action. The X owner revealed that the rapper’s account had been “classified as NSFW,

David Schwimmer and Piers Morgan were among those to call on X boss Elon Musk to ban Ye from using his account any further. It was enough for his posts to be put behind a curtain, where users had to click to say they understood that they could see potentially disturbing posts.

Kanye West deactivated his X account following a series of anti-Semitic, misogynistic, and racist comments. Elon Musk later confirmed that West's account was flagged as NSFW, reducing its visibility.

As Kanye West's antisemitic rant continues to light up X, David Schwimmer is calling on Elon Musk to take action.

The 'Friends' star took to Instagram with a plea to X owner Elon Musk: "We can’t stop a deranged bigot from spewing hate filled, ignorant bile… but we CAN stop giving him a megaphone, Mr. Musk."

Kanye West accused Elon Musk of limiting his reach and shadow banning his posts. Adding that it was “very cathartic” to use the world like a “sounding board”, West thanked his followers and said he was logging out of X.

Before his account was locked out, Kanye West, 47, had a word of appreciation for X owner Elon Musk, thanking him for "allowing him to vent".
