The Ducks (20-12-1) end their five-game road trip with a visit to Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets (13-13-6). Puck drop is set for 4 p.m. PT and will air on Victory+ and KCOP-13.

With their 4-1 defeat to the Ducks on Monday, the Rangers have now lost 12 of 16 games at Madison Square Garden this season.

Although it didn't help the Rangers a lot in a 4-1 loss to the Ducks, it was a positive development to see Rempe return nearly two months after suffering an injury during a fight with San Jose Sharks forward Ryan Reaves on October 23.

Ex-Rangers captain Jacob Trouba, in his return to MSG, sprang Ryan Poehling for a short-handed breakaway with a pass off the boards. Rangers goalie Igor Shesterkin made the initial save, but Jackson LaCombe whacked at the puck before Will Cuylle’s skate pushed it over the goal line.

A lot to take in there, to be sure. But in short, the Ducks have the pieces to, at minimum, be one of the most entertaining teams to watch this season.

The lack of quality centers available in the NHL trade market has seen Phillip Danault of the Los Angeles Kings and Ryan Strome of the Anaheim Ducks surface in the rumor mill.

Matthew Robertson scored and Igor Shesterkin made 22 saves for the Rangers (16-14-4), who had a four-game home point streak end (2-0-2). They fell to 4-9-3 at home and were held to one goal or less for the ninth time in 16 home games. Gauthier gave the Ducks a 2-1 lead at 5:51 of the third period, scoring at the end of a Ducks power play.
